Custom Plate for Camera?
Flash Arm Color help

BBX is our PMG Flash Bracket designed for all camera types with or without grip. The difference between BBX and BBGv2 is in the bottom mounting structure, where BBGv2 lets you use vertical grip buttons easily while BBX might cover them up. BBX offers flexibility if you need to change your camera geometry (add a grip or remove it) We currently manufacture custom Arca-Swiss type Bracket Plates for Canon, Nikon, and Sony. The Flash Bracket can be used with other cameras when you select a PBX3 Universal Plate. Our Bracket Plates are Arca-Swiss compatible.

The ProMediaGear Boomerang flash bracket is designed to give you the ultimate flexibility and ease of use. It is a perfect choice for demanding photographers, wedding photographers especially. It's basic function is to eliminate subject shadows in portrait or bounce flash photography. Our unique rotating system locks the flash at 90 degree position so that flash remains upright above the lens and enables you to photograph with the flash above the subject in landscape or portrait positions with effortless ease, precision, and style. The bracket is compact and lightweight that you can hold your camera comfortably in the right hand as if no bracket was attached and operate the bracket with your left hand if you want to change flash positions. The height of the flash bracket arm can be adjusted to accommodate cameras with or without grip/battery packs. Our high precision manufacturing process and use of rotation bearings make this bracket virtually maintenance free. The Boomerang flash bracket mounts to the camera body using a ProMediaGear Arca-Swiss / Anti-Twist custom Bracket Plate or PBX3 Universal Bracket Plate.

This model will work with all camera type bodies.

First-rate product, especially with a third-party accessory
I purchased this bracket with the Arca-Swiss clamp option because I already had a Really Right Stuff L-plate for my camera. It fit just fine. This bracket does exactly what it's supposed to do, and is beautifully designed and made. Just two comments: 1) There's a little black plastic knob on the back of the bracket that secures the bracket to the clamp that attaches the bracket to the camera. This knob extends a little in back of the camera, where it gets closer than I would like to my nose when I am using the camera. This is probably because Ieft-eyed; I doubt that right-eyed photographers would have any problem at all. It doesn't interfere at all with my use of the camera, but I do wish it protruded less. I think the bracket deserves a five-star rating anyway. 2) If you are using Nikon speedlights, you will need a cable to connect the speedlight to your camera. The cable that Nikon sells for this purpose is model SC-29. It's coiled; but when uncoiled, it's 9 feet long. That means that even when coiled, it's long enough to get in the way of everything. The solution that I found to this problem is to buy a shortened SC-29 cord. There's an outfit called Paramount Cords that buys these cords and shortens them. They're expensive, but it's an enormous difference in convenience. Definitely recommended to Nikon users.

Owner Photographer
I've admired the aesthetics and build quality of this bracket since seeing one at the PPA Imaging USA show earlier this year. After purchasing the Profoto B2 lights I realized I had to have it, and I love it. The bracket, with the optional B2 adapter, worked very well at keeping my light properly positioned whether I was shooting in portrait or landscape mode. I am happy to have it in my collection of "must have" accessories, and finally have a flash bracket that feels substantial enough to secure my expensive lights.

This flash bracket is a game changer. My context is that of a semi-pro photographer making the move to becoming a full-time professional; and with that, I am moving up to pro level gear. I did a lot of research before purchasing a flash bracket, looking for one that: 1) would work simply and flawlessly every time I needed it to; 2) would hold up over time and not fall apart after a couple of years; 3) and would look good with my camera on it and not chunky or old. That's when I found the BBX Boomerang flash bracket. Price-wise, it was more than a piece of gear that I could just order without wise budget planning, so I added it to my "to get" priority list. When its time came at the top of the list, I ordered it. When it arrived, I put it to use right away, and it is making all huge difference. It is very simple and very quick, and is a piece of quality gear that I will own for a long time.

I received the BBX on Thursday and used it to photograph a wedding on Saturday. I have two other flash bracket that are out preformed by the BBX. The positive locking arm worked beyond belief. The only problem I had was I wanted to use the Quantum flash, the mounting screw was not long enough to attach the flash, I do have a Canon 580 flash that I used.

Light, sturdy and works as described. My previous bracket could not keep the flash and the camera aligned. This bracket folds for storage, it's light, and rotates easily. It locks firmly in vertical or horizontal position. The bracket pairs with the camera, not vice-versa.
